I was grieving a dear friend while painting this piece. She is in a better place without pain, but will be missed deeply. During hard times like this I try hard to sit with my emotions, the pain, the fear, the unknown. Feeling is a part of the process. I painted for almost 8 hours straight the day she passed, trying to process death and life at the same time. I am blessed with the time I had with her and blessed that I have a passion that helps me process in a healthy way. This piece is dedicated to Ruth. Rest in Peace Ruth. You are Loved.
