Sanctuary of Grace

$250.00
sold out

While painting “Sanctuary of Grace,” I followed my heart and a few key pieces of inspiration. Anna Moyer provided a beautiful photo reference, and Ethan Hanson’s original song “Sanctuary” was a motivator for me to reflect on what “sanctuary” means to me. After painting the landscape, I could not look at this painting without imagining myself hiking up this mountain in a pilgrimage, getting to the top, and singing at the top of my lungs to the God I worship. That is why I added the crosses on the hilltops. I imagine myself sitting at the bottom of these monuments, watching the sunset with awe and joy in my heart. Your view, your imagination, and your God may be totally different and you may feel a different inspiration when you view this piece in your home, which I welcome. In this piece, I share from the depths of my heart what my sanctuary looks like.

21.25”x 2”x 11.25” Oil on canvas. Framed and ready to be hung.
